59 Years After, Odu’a Investment Renovates Cocoa House, Makinde Commissions Facilities

Fifty Nine Years after the erection of the historic Nigeria edifice, The Cocoa House, Ibadan, the management of Odua Investment has renovated the structure.

The renovated structure was commissioned by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, represented by the Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi on Thursday.

Ogunwuyi who made this known in a post on his official X handle congratulated the management for preserving the monumental structure.

He wrote; “Yesterday, I had the honor of commissioning the renovated Cocoa House Facilities ( Ground Floor Reception, Car Park and Surroundings) on behalf of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

“The renovation depicts commitment to preserving and enhancing the legacy of Cocoa House, a historic symbol of Yorubaland’s economic prosperity.

“I congratulate the Board & Management of Odua Investment Company Limited for this feat. I reassured them of our administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting Odua Investment & every business in the Pacesetter State, fostering a conducive environment for growth and development.”

The management of Odua Investments in an earlier tweet had noted that the renovation is not only for aesthetic value but to preserve the historic monument for future generations to come.

They wrote; “Earlier today, we celebrated a significant milestone with the commissioning of the newly renovated car parks, ground-floor reception, 21st-floor, and surrounding areas of Cocoa House, the iconic home of @oduainvestments

“This marks an important chapter in our journey towards transforming into a world-class conglomerate.

“These renovations go beyond aesthetic enhancements; they testify to our mantra, “enhancing the legacy for future generations.

“We have demonstrated our commitment to preserving and building upon the rich heritage passed down by our forebears. Today, we honored our past and set the tone for what is to come.”
