Serie A club, Atalanta have praised Ademola Lookman for his 2024 Ballon d’or achievement,
Lookman finished in 14th position in the prestigious award.
The 27-year-old was the only African nominated for the award this year.
“14th place for Mola: proud of you Ade,” Atalanta wrote on X.
It has been a remarkable year for Lookman, who has shone for club and country.
The tricky winger played a crucial role in Nigeria’s second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring thrice in seven outings.
Lookman also scored all three goals for Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen
